Elementary School Counseling Updates and Essentials Training is for elementary counselors and administrators. During this professional development, school counselors and administration will work together to analyze data, establish school counseling program goals aligned with school improvement plans, and improve program implementation.

This training is recommended every five years as part of implementation of the K-12 Utah College and Career Readiness School Counseling Program Model.

Elementary School Counseling Updates and Essentials Training is for elementary counselors and administrators. During this professional development, school counselors and administration will work together to analyze data, establish school counseling program goals aligned with school improvement plans, and improve program implementation.

This training is recommended every five years as part of implementation of the K-12 Utah College and Career Readiness School Counseling Program Model.

This training is also required for those receiving the Elementary School Counselor Grant in accordance to R277-461. To meet grant accountability expectations, both the school counselor and administrator are required to attend. Grant participates are only required to attend this training one time during the 3-year grant cycle.

There are specific Updates and Essentials trainings for both Secondary (7-12) and New School Counseling Programs. For more information about dates and registration, visit our website.

Please bring your laptop, School Counseling Program Model, and a copy of your school Improvement plan or school goals. We will have extra Models there if you have not received one.

Training will be from 8:30-2:30 with a one hour lunch on your own.

You need to attend the entire training to receive the 5 relicensure points.

Training will be canceled with less than 20 registered participants.
