The content of this texbook is aligned to the current AP European History Curriculum Framework. The AP Curriculum Framework, course outine, and exam explanation are included in a section just before the first chapter of text. While the textbook does~not provide AP format exam review materials with every chapter it DOES provide four review sections in the new AP format. These sections include multiple choice, short answer and essay questions.
The narrative style of this book is academically rigorious and, while appropiate for AP level reading it may prove confusing to younger students due to the sophistication of the vocabulary used. The chapters are written at a lower division college level (Lexile Level 1200-1300). The illustrations, charts, graphs and maps are of a high quality and are closely aligned with the narrative text.
