Evaluation

The "Hands on Banking" program is designed for both self-paced, individual learning and classroom use. The program has the basics of money management and most of the objectives of the General Financial Literacy course. As with most supplementary materials there are some areas missing from the new standards for Finanical Literacy.

The curriculum is designed for four age groups: Adults, Young Adults (Ages 15-21) Teens (grades 6-8) and Kids (grades 4 and 5). The Young Adult curriculum is divided into six sections that help students learn the essentials of financial education: goal setting, budgeting, the basics of banking services, the importance of saving, smart money management, using credit responsibly, investing, wealth building,~insurance, career choices , education and careers, avoiding identity theft, and other topics. The curriculum covers most of the objectives of GFL.
