This online course prepares educators in all grade levels and content areas with tools to add depth to the questions, prompts, and tasks they use for instruction and assessment. The course covers both Norman Webb’s Depth of Knowledge (DOK) framework and Karen Hesse’s Cognitive Rigor Matrix (CRM) as tools to help teachers achieve the appropriate level of depth in their questioning. This course is based on current best practices and evidence-based instructional strategies.
