This course will help teachers who teach K-6 to more fully meet the needs of their readers in regards to reading more fluently. We will discuss how to assess for fluency needs. We will talk about how fluency can be worked on throughout the school day in various settings. We will discuss how to improve fluency in small group as well as in whole group discussion. We will also focus on how to use technology in ways to help students improve fluency. Teachers will leave with many fluency activities and tools that are easy to implement in the classroom.
