The purpose of this class is to provide an overview of literary and informational texts for children and young adults with an emphasis on classic and contemporary publications and their appropriate use in the classroom. Participants will acquire knowledge of authors and genres with applicable background information. They will also discuss literary trends and how they can be applied to classroom learning. rn
