To earn this microcredential you will need to collect and submit two sets of evidence demonstrating your classroom management techniques during your physical education instruction. You will also complete a written or video reflective analysis.
When planning your classroom management, the following factors should be considered:
Taking attendance, supervising the locker room, warming up, etc.
Class management techniques :class expectations during instruction, grouping for skill development, teams for equality
Teaching style :which style fits the lesson best (direct style, task style, mastery learning style, individualized style, cooperative learning style, guided discovery style, problem solving style, exploration style)
This microcredential is designed to assist in the planning part of teaching physical education. Lesson plans ensure the implementation of a quality lesson. Pre Instructional decisions, starting with a personal philosophy and then determining how the lesson will be presented are key. Planning will also involve designing and implementing lesson plans that are both flexible and meaningful. Classroom management techniques need to be an intentional part of each lesson.

Submit two lesson plans aligned to two different standards from the Core Standards for Physical Education. Each of these lesson plans should include detailed explanations of the classroom instructional techniques that you use. The two different lesson plans should demonstrate your ability to use a range of classroom management techniques and adapt them to specific learning content, students, situations, and locations.
Use the lesson plan template included in the Resources section for your lesson plans.
Submit the evidence below to demonstrate your effective and consistent implementation of classroom management to support physical education in a range different situations.
Submit two videos of your instruction using the two lesson plans submitted as evidence of preparation and planning. These videos should demonstrate your ability to use a range classroom management techniques adapted to a different content, students, situations, and locations. Each video should be about 3-5 minutes in length, and can include edited clips from lessons with different groups of students. Be sure to follow your district/charter guidelines for student privacy.
Be sure your videos are in a common video file format (.mp4, .mov, .wmv, .avi). If you share a link to your videos (Google Drive, etc.), be sure the sharing options are set to allow the reviewers to access it.
